Ohio is lush with deciduous trees, including the state tree: Ohio Buckeye.  It is a marvel to see the landscape barren during the winter months and spilling over in the spring.

Driving along our country roads right now will make you want to pack a picnic and sing cruising songs.

Friends of ours have a vibrant Weigela plant in their backyard (also deciduous), specifically the variety called "Fine Wine."  If you knew these friends, you'd know how perfect that type of Weigela is to them and their friendship to us.

The flowers are bright pink.  So pretty!

Right place, right time.
